Saint Bartholomew Island, officially known as the Saint Bartholomew Administrative District, is one of the four French territories in the Windward Islands of the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea. Its jurisdiction mainly includes Saint Bartholomew Island and several small offshore islands. The French government announced on February 22, 2007 that the island would separate from French Guadeloupe and become an overseas administrative region directly under the central government of Paris. Saint Bartholomew Island is also part of the European Union, with the official currency being the Euro and the official language being French.
Saint Bartholomew Island does not have an independent trademark registration system, and after registering a French or EU trademark, the protection automatically extends to that area without the need for a separate application. At the same time, French registration will automatically extend to the following places:
1.Since 2011, French Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, French Reunion Island, and Mayotte Island have been included.
2. French Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion Island, Saint Bartholomew Island, and Saint Martin Island can automatically extend their protection through EU registration.
