3. The applicant's name and address must be the same as the registration basis in the UK;
4. Power of attorney;
5. Original registration certificate issued by the UK Intellectual Property Office;
6. Priority cannot be declared.
The main process for applying for registration of a Jersey trademark based on existing UK foundations is: application acceptance examination approval issuance. The application will be accepted within 2-3 weeks after submission. The examiner will conduct formal and substantive examinations on the application. Formal review mainly examines whether the application requirements and classification information comply with regulations. The substantive examination mainly examines whether the trademark violates the prohibitive provisions of the Trademark Law. Those who fail the review will be rejected; Those who pass the review will be allowed to register and receive a registration certificate. No announcement system. If everything goes smoothly, it will take about six months to apply for trademark registration in Jersey based on the existing UK registration foundation.
The validity period of Jersey trademark registration is the same as that of UK basic registration. Renewal can be processed within 6 months before the expiration date, with a grace period of 6 months. The renewal validity period is also the same as that of UK basic registration.
After trademark registration, an application for trademark revocation can generally be filed with the Jersey courts in accordance with Article 10 of the Jersey Trademark Law. Under current review conditions, it generally takes 3-5 years.
