There is currently no relevant trademark law or trademark authority in Eritrea, making it impossible to conduct trademark searches and registrations, and this situation may continue for a long time in the future. The Eritrean government initially accepted the publication of warning notices in state-owned national newspapers, but in recent years they have been suspended. At present, Eritrea does not have a procedure for protecting trademarks.
